Welcome to the Pacific Northwest!

You'll find here information and links to the only important cities in Western Washington, Even though we claim to represent the entire Pacific Northwest, the other cities like Spokane and Portland are far too small to keep our limited attention.

Currently, we have Bellingham, Everett, Seattle and Olympia listed. We could go on and on about the splendors of Everett alone! Where else are you going to find a Chartres style labyrinth in a park, thoughtlessly trammelled by unknowing crackheads? And charming, charming Olympia... state capital, and home to one of the most liberal colleges anywhere on the planet. The contrast can give you whiplash. Seattle should be capital of Washington state, but it doesn't meet the Dullest Small City parameter that other states adhere to. Albany, anyone? Bellingham we like because if you want to leave in a hurry, there are trains, ferries, ships, highways and a small airport to haul you. If you want to leave the actual country, the border's a short drive away. And it's the gateway to the Appendix of America, Point Roberts, a part of Washington you have to go in to Canada to get to unless you swim. That's a border crossing each way, even if you're not Canadian. Insane. It's on the map to the left. It's that tiny scrap of land at the upper left edge. At least it's on the map, but that's really not saying much.

Click the map, or the links on this page, to learn a little more about our hand-selected cities, see webcams (except that Olympia seems to be shy about public exposure, but what do you expect from a town full of politicians and Greeners?) and revel in all (or some) of what makes the Pacific Northwest so special.

No, not "don't eat the school paste" special. More like "yes, we've seen that geoduck visual joke before, thanks" special.
